- Error601, on 12/31/2007, -1/+251That's not walking...that's falling with style.
- faberge, on 12/31/2007, -4/+229Ok, first I thought photoshopped, but as it's from nasa.gov, I looked for it at the NASA site. Its a picture of Bruce McCandless II on the first untethered space walk in 1984.

The man has balls. - CiDaemon, on 12/31/2007, -0/+152***** "realistic goals". Mom, I still want to be an astronaut.
- kufurex, on 12/31/2007, -3/+140He has balls indeed, and one of them seems to be hanging below, all blue like.
- Nougat, on 12/31/2007, -3/+92Decades of research, billions of dollars, good men and women risking their lives - all to bring you nifty backgrounds.
- feshmania, on 12/31/2007, -29/+113“Space is big. Really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.”
- tehWyman, on 08/19/2009, -2/+79That has to be quite possibly the scariest situation to be in.
- swiftekho, on 12/31/2007, -5/+66APRIL FOOLS! THOSE AREN'T JET BOOSTERS!
- vroom101, on 12/31/2007, -0/+53Very Beautiful & Very Cool!

- carbonetc, on 12/31/2007, -0/+31"Hey guys, watch this..."
- Tr33fiddy, on 12/31/2007, -2/+29Pfft. Balls would be to do that without the fancy suit.
- bskerr88, on 12/31/2007, -1/+26thanks for the nifty background
- Maddoktor2, on 12/31/2007, -0/+25And Tang. ;-)
- DeskFlyer, on 12/31/2007, -1/+26That would be seriously cool to be orbiting the planet by yourself.
- luke16, on 12/31/2007, -2/+26"Johnson......i seem to be floating off here...........oh bugger"
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -1/+24This was submitted a while back, I think under the header "Kinda makes you feel small, doesn't it?"..
I can remember digging it. - mtbterain, on 12/31/2007, -0/+23dugg for the fact that that guy must feel 2 things at that moment.
1)holy ***** i am a f---ing bada-s
2)holy ***** i am so f---ing small - Modiga, on 12/31/2007, -1/+21I was going to digg you up, but then I saw that you were at 42 and couldn't bare to touch it.
- rob3, on 12/31/2007, -1/+17This was in 1984, the ISS didn't exist.
- noots, on 12/31/2007, -0/+16they each took turns with the fishing rod. Loser bought the beers.
- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 12/31/2007, -4/+19I'll probably get dugg down for this, but there isn't such a thing as zero gravity. Everything orbiting the earth does so because it is in a state of free-fall acceleration.
So he literally is falling with style.
Comment dugg for scientific accuracy. - JanYpe, on 12/31/2007, -0/+14So is that Major Tom?
- KingGorilla, on 12/31/2007, -0/+13You've got the moon with you
- weeeezzll, on 12/31/2007, -1/+14Man...forget about your cabin retreat in the mountains for "alone" time. This is the ultimate "get away from it all".
- dungbeetle, on 12/31/2007, -0/+12Google Earth has nothing on the view this guy had.
- Psythik, on 12/31/2007, -5/+17Wow, it sure is cOLD in outer space!
- ChileanGoD, on 12/31/2007, -0/+10" haha... yeah guys.. haha.. it's funny... you had your fun... now throw me a goddamn rope to get back!"
- Darkhacker, on 12/31/2007, -1/+11This is Digg. Even with billions of dollars and decades of research most people here couldn't get any Ta.... oh wait, you meant the other kind.
- KingGorilla, on 12/31/2007, -0/+9Ah yes. It was a wonderful afternoon at the time. After staring at the insignificant man in comparison to the colossal sphere of a planet I return to the comments section. Slowly I moved the cursor with glee to the little yellow square at the top left corner. With great certainty I click, thus permanently giving my approval to what was definitely an entertaining submission.
- NJank, on 12/31/2007, -0/+8don't forget velcro!
- vawksel, on 12/31/2007, -0/+8Unless you're upside down, then don't look up.
- benb24, on 12/31/2007, -0/+8Last semester, I asked my biomechanics professor (Dr. Robert Full, who does research for NASA) about being an astronaut. He told me that there is no chance that I could go into space. He said that even if I was smart enough to get onto a top tier research team, there are a list of teams a mile long that would go before me. But...he said there are civilians that go into space all of the time. You just have to have a couple million to burn for a 12 hour trip.
- BinaryFragger, on 12/31/2007, -0/+7Yes, because we all know what can happen if you get lost in space:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godfellas - sgoogle, on 12/31/2007, -0/+7But space isn't a perfect vacuum
- badjoke, on 12/31/2007, -5/+12Do you honestly think posting in that stupid style will get you diggs? Learn to speak/type intelligently.
- gak001, on 12/31/2007, -0/+7See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douche
- 0crabby0, on 12/31/2007, -2/+8Is that Bender?
- inactive, on 08/11/2008, -3/+9This is older than the internet...seriously
- jasz, on 12/31/2007, -7/+13did anybody else think:
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee! - vawksel, on 12/31/2007, -0/+6There, he's at 41 now.. someone put him back at 42.
- damnitdaniel, on 12/31/2007, -0/+6While I was expanding your comment I anticipated it to say "I see what you did there".
I was wrong. Thank you. - kody, on 12/31/2007, -0/+5"Wait for me! Wait for me!"
- wrzhydr, on 12/31/2007, -0/+5if i recall correctly, it uses some sort of nitrogen type fuel to propel the user.

- TheDHC, on 12/31/2007, -0/+5no need to self censor on digg
- vawksel, on 12/31/2007, -1/+5Someone's gotta go, that list gets shorter and shorter all the time.
If no one joins the list, then eventually they run out of people, and people drop off the list too I'm sure. - squaremachine, on 12/31/2007, -0/+4best facebook profile pic ever
